KJM Renewables Ltd, in association with Geosciences Ltd, can  design systems for domestic and commercial installations.

Heat Pumps require plastic pipes to be buried in the ground so that a freezing mixture can be pumped through hem to extract energy. There are two ways of achieving this as follows:-

  1. Slinkies

These are coils of plastic pipe designed in a specific way for the maximising of heat into the solution. They are normally buried in long trenches 50-50 metres long and at a depth of two metres. These pipes are of very high grade material and have a life expectancy of 25 years plus.

b) Bore Holes

there is often a limitation on space, especially, in a commercial installation which prohibits the use of Slinkies. In these cases  several bore holes can be made down to 70 metres or so and these will extract the heat in the same way. This type of installation requires a specialised drilling company and is part of the service provided by KJM Renewables Ltd.
